NTA has advised the candidates to apply well in time and keep all their documents like Aadhar card, 10th certificate, passport size photo etc. ready in advance.

Increase in Centers for JEE Main 2026

This year, the NTA plans to increase the number of examination centers across the country. This aims to ensure that more students can find examination centers in cities closest to their location, reducing travel and accommodation hassles.

In addition, special facilities will be provided for candidates with disabilities (PwD/PwBD) to ensure they face no inconvenience during the examination.

This move is part of the NTA’s efforts to make the examination system more inclusive and accessible.

Notice Related to Aadhaar Updates Before Exam

  • NTA has implemented the Aadhaar Authentication system to maintain accuracy in the application process.
  • Candidates’ names, dates of birth, gender, photo, and address will now be obtained directly from the UIDAI database.
  • However, students will have to enter their father’s, mother’s, or guardian’s names in the application form themselves, as this information is not included in Aadhaar.

Relief Regarding Name Differences

If a student has a name difference between their Aadhaar card and their 10th grade marksheet, there is no need to worry. NTA has announced the option to correct this problem during the application process.

Previously, NTA issued a notice on this subject on November 6, 2024, which will now also apply to JEE Main 2026.
