The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2026 session-2 final answer key. As always, the final answer key is live on the official website of JEE Main NTA. Aspirants can go and download it from there. 

Lakhs of aspirants across the country waiting for their score board have breathed a sigh of relief. Earlier, NTA had released the provisional answer key, for which all the candidates were given a deadline of 11:30 p.m. on 13th April 2026, to challenge it.

NTA has released the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) for the JEE Main 2026. Every year, the National Testing Agency issues an FAQ notification for JEE aspirants to understand the registration, Eligibility criteria, and other details regarding JEE Main. Let’s discuss the details of the JEE Main FAQs 2026 in this article.

First of all, this must have come to your mind why NTA releases this JEE Main FAQ every year. There are many rumours about JEE Main circulating on the internet. In such a situation, the NTA puts a stop to these rumours by issuing an official notice on exam dates, Eligibility criteria, reservation policy, marketing System, PwD Certificate, and any changes to the exam pattern.

Answer:

• Session 1: January 21 to January 30, 2026
• Session 2: April 2 to April 9, 2026

3. How can candidates register for JEE Main 2026?

Answer: The application process is detailed in the Information Bulletin under “Important Information and Dates at a Glance.”

4. Do I need to fill out a separate application form for each session?

Answer: Yes, a separate application is required for each session.

5. If someone did not apply for Session 1, can they apply for Session 2?

Answer: Yes, they can apply when the Session 2 portal opens.

6. Is it mandatory to appear in only one session or can they appear in both?

Answer: It depends on the candidate’s choice. The best score will be considered if they appear in both.

7. Are calculators allowed in the exam?

Answer: No, no type of calculator is allowed.

8. What registration number should be entered in the qualification details?

Answer:

• For CBSE students—the number provided in the letter issued by CBSE.
• Other boards—registration/enrollment/roll number, etc.

9. Are DigiLocker documents valid?

Answer: Yes, DigiLocker documents can be uploaded.

10. Should 12th-grade improvement/reappear students choose “Passed” or “Appearing”?

Answer: Select the option “Passed.”

11. What is the minimum eligibility/age limit for JEE Main 2026?

Answer: See Chapter 3 of the information booklet.

12. What will be the exam pattern?

Answer: Given in Chapter 2, paragraph 2.4 of the information booklet.

13. What is the State Code of Eligibility?

Answer: See paragraph 3.4 of the information booklet.

14. What PIN code should foreign candidates (OCI/PIO) enter in the address?

Answer: 111111

15. What if you don’t receive the OTP for Aadhaar verification?

Answer: The mobile number linked to Aadhaar must be active.

16. What will be the problem if the Class 10 marksheet and Aadhaar name mismatch?

Answer: No, it will have no effect.

17. Is APAAR ID mandatory?

Answer: No.

18. How to capture a live photo?

19. What if there is a mismatch between the live photo and the Aadhaar photo?

Answer: NTA will review it and inform you if there is a problem.

20. What are the eligibility/certificates for PwD/PwBD candidates?

21. How is UDID card verification done?

25. Is it mandatory to upload the Category Certificate?

Answer: No, only—

• Certificate Number
• Date of Issue

If there is no certificate, include the application receipt and any other required documents.

26. Do any documents need to be sent to NTA?

Answer: No, nothing needs to be sent by post, email, or handwritten.

27. What if the exam date clashes with another exam?

Answer: NTA will not change the date/shift.

28. How are exam dates and slots determined?

Answer: Random allotment is done by computer.

29. Can details or city details be changed on the application form?

Answer:

• NTA is not responsible for errors.
• A correction window will appear once.

30. Can the application form be cancelled after submission?

• You will receive a confirmation page only if the payment is successful.
• If the payment fails, submit the fee again.
• The NTA will refund the excess amount later.

42. How will the confirmation page and scorecard be sent to the candidate?

Union Public Services Commission(UPSC) has declared the result of the second session 2024 for admission to the 154th course of the National Defence Academy and the 114th course of the Naval Academy. All candidates can check their results on the official website of UPSC i.e upsc.gov.in

UPSC has released the result of the written exam and SSB interview for admission in the 154th course of National Defense Academy for Army, Navy and Air Force and the 116th course of Naval Academy for Indian Naval Academy Course. A total of 792 candidates passed. But out of these 792 candidates, 21 students of Prince NDA Academy of Sikar, the educational city, have once again brought laurels to Sikar at the national level.

UPSC said in its official press note that the medical examination of all 792 candidates has not been included in these results. Along with this, it was also told that the marks of all the candidates will be released 15 days after the results are released.

National Testing Agency issued an important notification on 1st February related to the second session of JEE (Main) 2025. After which registration has started for JEE Main Registration 2025 Session 2. All JEE aspirants can register for the April session from yesterday. The exam is conducted in two sessions, in January and April. However, the registrations are started for the JEE Mains 2025 January session. 

Candidates who had taken the exam for the first session do not need to register again, they can be eligible for this session by logging in and paying the fee. The Registration Fee for JEE Main 2025 Session-2 is INR 1000 for General Category and INR 800 for SC/ST/PwD and transgender Candidates. NTA will conduct the paper for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 between 1st to 8th April.

Fee Structure for JEE Main 2025 Session-2

Eligibility for JEE(Main) 2025- 2

For those candidates who have appeared for the first session of JEE Main 2025 and feel that their exam did not go as expected, the eligibility criteria for those candidates is going to remain the same. However, the candidates who are applying for JEE Main 2025 Session-2 for the first time will have to match the detailed criteria given in the table below.

Exam Timing and Shifts

JEE (Main) Session will also be conducted in two shifts like the first session, Morning and Evening.

How to fill the JEE Main 2025 Registration Form?

Step 1: First of all you have to visit the official website of NTA. On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the link Online Application Form for JEE Main 2025 Session-2 given in the news bar.

Step 2: If you are applying for JEE Main 2025 Session-2 for the first time, then click on the option of New Registration and register your new profile by filling in all the required information.

Step 3: If you have already given the exam for JEE Main 2025 Session-1, then log in directly.

Step 4: Create Password and Security Question: To register the profile, you have to choose your password and security question and fill in its answer. After this, you can complete the remaining steps.

Step 5: Academic and Personal Detail: After this, you have to fill in your personal details, in which you have to give your name, parent’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID

Step 6: Exam City: After this, choose the exam city according to your preference, in which you want to give the exam.

Step 7: Upload Document: You have to upload the scanned image of your recent passport-size photo, signature, class 10th mark sheet, identity proof and PwD/PwBD/UDID certificate (if applicable) as per the rules set by NTA.

Step: 8 Pay Registration Fee: After completing both steps, you have to deposit the fee for JEE Main 2025 Session-2. For this, you can use Net Banking, Credit Cards, Debit Cards and UPI.

Step 9: Candidates must remember their password and security question along with its answer so that they can log in again in the future. However, if they forget their password, candidates can regenerate it with their personal details.

Step 10: After this, submit the application form and take a printout of it.

Exam City and Admit Cards

The dates of advance intimation of the examination city, downloading of Admit Cards, and declaration of result will be displayed on the JEE Main Portel at the appropriate time.
