Finally, the day has arrived; the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 examinations have started. As you all know, the exams are scheduled to be held on 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 January 2026. As the examinations started, we are here with a series of paper analyses. In this series, we will analyse the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 paper regularly.

Overall,l the JEE Main 2026 paper of 22nd January (shift-1) was on the moderate side. Initial reactions of aspirants were suggesting the same paper level as the last day’s both shifts. 

Talking about three subjects, Maths was moderate to tough, Physics was also on the moderate side, and last but not least, Chemistry was easier than the other two subjects.

Overall,l the JEE Main 2026 paper of 21st January (shift-2) was on the moderate side. As per the students’ reactions, it was similar to the first shift; the Maths was lengthy, as in the first shift, but not in this shift. 

Talking about three subjects, Maths was the toughest, Physics was also on the tougher side, and last but not least, Chemistry was easier than the other two subjects.

Overall, the JEE Main 2026 paper of 21st January (shift-1) was moderate to tough in some places. Based on the students’ reactions, the subjects’ difficulty levels were as expected; there were no unexpected question patterns. 

Talking about three subjects, Maths was the toughest, Physics was also on the tougher side, and last but not least, Chemistry was easier than the other two.
