Any NEET UG 2025 Latest News?
We all know that the NEET is a national-level medical exam conducted by the NTA and has been conducted carefully and systematically over the years. However, the NTA follows a simple pattern: The agency doesn’t disclose any information about the upcoming exam season until the current season ends.
Since the counseling and seat allocation processes of the NEET 2024 exam are still pending, we cannot expect any official updates. All in all, the NTA is already following the simple strategy with all the updates about the NEET, JEE, and more exams released in November with a cumulative Exam Calendar. So, guess we have to wait till the release of the NTA exam calendar 2025.
NEET UG 2025 Syllabus
As we spoke earlier, the official syllabus update regarding the NEET UG 2025 is not yet available. However, the syllabus will be the same as the 2024 NEET unless NTA decides to change, add, or remove some part of it. Until then, the syllabus of NEET 2025 will be the same as 2024’s in all subjects; Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2025
The eligibility criteria for NEET 2025 are that all candidates must have passed the 12th standard with at least 50% marks in all the subjects. This eligibility criteria is for students having reservation SC/ST/OBC-NCL category, and PwBD Candidates must secure at least 40% in 10+2. Besides, the minimum age requirement for the candidates appearing for NEET 2025 must be at least 17 before 31 December 2024.

Since the NTA exam calendar has not been published yet, the exact dates for the NEET 2025 are still in suspense. Paper Pattern for NEET UG 2025
The NTA seems to be following the same pattern for the NEET UG exam for the past few years. However, there are still a few chances that NTA might change this pattern, but as of now, we have to stick with the old pattern, as there is no official update so far. Given below is the paper pattern for NEET UG 2025:
- Mode of examination: Offline
- Subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
- Type of questions: Objective type multiple choice questions
- Number of questions: 180 questions (Physics- 45, Chemistry- 45, Botany- 45, and Zoology-45)
- Duration of exam: 3 hours
- Maximum Marks: 720 marks
The NTA conducts this exam in 13 languages, and there are chances this count may increase in NEET 2025, but it has not been confirmed yet!
Marking Scheme of NEET UG 2025
Since the NEET 2025 exam is going to have a simple paper pattern with all multiple choice questions, with 45 questions for each subject, the NTA follows a simple marking scheme as well. Well, for NEET 2025, the student will be awarded +4 for each correct answer in every subject. And, for every wrong answer, there will be a -1 deduction. At last, the unanswered question will carry 0 marks without any deductions.
Note: In case of any irrelevant, out-of-syllabus, or misprinted questions, the NTA will award a full score to all the attendees.
How To Register For the NEET UG 2025 Exam?
Registration for NEET UG 2025 will start in April 2025. Here is how you can submit an online application for the exam from the comfort of your home:
Step 1: Start by visiting the official NEET website- neet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Register yourself with your Email ID and Mobile number.
Step 3: After successful verification of both the mail and mobile number, sign in with the password to your account.
Step 4: After signing in, start filling in all the required educational and personal details in the NEET 2025 Application form.
Step 5: Finally, submit all the required documents like Photo, address proof, signature, study certificates, caste certificate, and PwD certificate (if applicable).
Step 6: After successfully submitting the documents, you will be directed to the payment page. To complete the process, pay the stipulated fee based on your gender, citizenship, and reservation via online mode.
Step 7: After successfully paying, you will be redirected to the NTA website with the application form. Finally, download the form, and you are good to go!
Important Note: Make sure you fill in the exact personal details, such as name, date of birth, name of the school, and marks in class 12th, in the application to avoid future problems in the NEET UG 2024 exam and Counselling.
