1. Exam Paper Pattern Instructions

As we always say, understanding the exam paper pattern is the first NEET instruction that every student must notice. Understanding exam patterns, including the duration, number of questions, and medium of the test, is a compulsion for every attendee. 

Speaking of NEET UG 2024, the exam will be conducted only offline and will be limited to 3 hours and 20 minutes. It will be conducted in 13 languages and have a marking potential of 720. You will be awarded 4 marks for each right answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Exam Day Instructions for NEET 2024

The moment you get your hall ticket or admit card for NEET UG 2024, you must check all the names and details on the admit card. In case of any spelling mistakes or print errors, you must contact the authorities at the very next moment at neet@nta.ac.in

On the day of the exam, the students must carry a physical copy of the hall ticket / admit card. They must report before the stipulated time for the exam. Remember, no excuses will be entertained for late reporting.

Another minute thing most students forget during the NEET exam is attaching their passport-size photo (coloured) to the admit card.

After entering the exam hall, the candidate must give a thumb impression. Also, checking the details on the answer booklet is crucial in the exam. If there are any blunders or corrections in the answer booklet, especially with names and initials, you must report them to the invigilator.

The students should follow every instruction given by the invigilator while filling the answer booklet. You should check the code on the answer sheet and test the booklet, as they must match. Also, never forget to fill both sides of the booklet only with the ballpoint pen provided. Finally, fill out the OMR sheet very carefully. Remember that no additional sheets will be given in the NEET exam, so the students must fill the answer booklet very carefully without a single blunder.

3. Required Documents for NEET Exam 2024

Arrange all the required documents for the NEET exam at least two days before the exam. A student should carry three important documents: valid ID proof (Aadhar, voter ID, Driving License, and more), an admit card and a passport-size photo. It is also advisable for students to carry the NEET application record as a backup. Last but not least, all PwD candidates must carry their updated PwD certificates to the exam hall.

4. General Instructions for NEET 2024

Following some simple and general instructions for the NEET exam is also important to avoid unnecessary distractions before the exam. One of them is reaching the exam centre at least 1 hour before the exam. Also, don’t forget to carry all the required documents. Follow a simple dress code decided by the authorities, which is that the students should wear simple half-sleeve clothing, avoiding heavy buttons, brooches, and any other accessories.

5. What is Not Allowed in NEET Exam 2024?

It is strictly prohibited for students to carry stationary items like pencils, pens, and scales to the NEET UG 2024 exam centre. Students must also not carry electronic devices like mobiles, smart watches, Bluetooth, and calculators.

Carrying personal items like handbags, purses, and wallets is also strictly prohibited for the NEET Exam. Also, never carry any eatable items to the NEET exam centre.
