NEET UG 2026 Documents Alert From NTA

Before the NEET UG 2026 registration starts, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notification for students. It is a NEET UG 2026 Documents Readiness alert for the students who are preparing for the upcoming NEET UG attempt.

Ignoring this update regarding NEET UG 2026 documents could have serious consequences. This notification is not related to the exam date, syllabus, or application form dates, but rather to the papers on which the NEET UG 2026 application and the entire subsequent process will depend.

Every year, a large number of students, despite scoring well, face problems during counselling, category benefit claims, or verification due to document mismatches. To prevent such issues, the NTA has issued this advance alert.

We at PCP Sikar have reviewed this notice, and here are the takeaways for you. You, being an aspiring NEET aspirant, must have a look at these points and then check if your documents are updated accordingly or not.

1. Adhaar Card Update for NEET UG 2026 Registration

Regarding Aadhaar Cards, NTA has clarified that the entire Aadhaar Card must be updated at the time of form submission. Make sure it is not only about the name and the father’s name, but also about every detail on the Aadhaar Card.

  • Candidate’s full name (including spelling)
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Photograph on the Aadhaar card
  • Current address
  • Biometric information (where applicable)

This information is directly matched with the Aadhaar database during the NEET application process. Even a slight discrepancy in a name or date of birth can lead to verification issues later.

What if your Adhaar Card is not updated or has Mistakes?

If your Adhaar Card is not updated according to the requirements, you have to get it updated according to UIDAI rules. Moreover, keep the below points in mind.

  • Aadhaar updates are not implemented everywhere immediately.
  • Sometimes, the update process takes time.
  • Getting the update done at the last minute may cause problems during the NEET application process.

Therefore, the NTA emphasises that students should complete this process before the NEET 2026 application forms are released.

2. Update Regarding PWD Candidates in NEET

Separate instructions have been issued regarding the UDID Card for candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category for NEET UG 2026. These candidates must ensure that:

  • Their UDID Card is valid.
  • It is up-to-date.
  • If it has expired, it has been renewed on time.

The facilities and reservations provided to PwD candidates during NEET are entirely dependent on the validity of the UDID Card. Any discrepancy in this regard may lead to problems later on.

3. NEET UG 2026 Update Regarding Category Certificate

Last but not least in NEET UG 2026 Documents Alert, NTA also gave an alert regarding the category certificate. NTA has asked all the aspirants to check if their EWS, SC, ST, और OBC-NCL certificates are;
