Will CBSE Conduct NEET

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is one and only the major UG-level med-entrance exams in India. Being the toughest and rarest, every single news or update about the NEET exam always pops up and becomes a sensation in India. Now, we are going to discuss one such rumour in this blog, which has been trending on social platforms recently, i.e., Will CBSE Conduct NEET in the future? So, let’s get started!

First of all, why is CBSE being dragged into the NEET scenario? Well, over the years, we have been seeing a lot of buzz about the CBSE might replace NTA. However, this never happened, at least in the past few years. We can see the responsibility of NEET is still in the hands of NTA. But what about the future? Will CBSE Conduct NEET 2025 or 2026?`Well, nothing is confirmed, so let’s discuss all the possibilities here.

Why CBSE?

Even though the NTA has become a pro in conducting UG-level exams like JEE and NEET, there are a few minute misconducts that happen once in a while. However, these days, NTA faces allegations of the NTA Scam in the NEET 2024 Result.  Tackling many exams may be one reason why this mistake happens with the NTA. This is why many experts are saying that the NTA might consider passing out the NEET responsibility to other organisations and focusing on other exams.

We all know that the majority of tests conducted by NTA are math-oriented. However, the NEET, on the other hand, is the only exam that is majorly focused on the science side. So, leaving NEET would be easy for NTA, as they can focus entirely on Math-Related Exams.

Leading NEET, on the other hand, is not an easy task for any other organisation, as Most of them are not experienced like NTA. In case the Ministry of Education decides to Put an end mark on NTA for conducting the NEET exam, they must shortlist an organisation that is capable of conducting and managing heavy crowds.

Marking Scheme NEET 2025

This is where CBSE comes into the picture, as it is one of the most experienced organisations in India, with board exams. However, the CBSE has never dealt with any sort of competition exam before. Will the CBSE conduct NEET as Prominently as NTA? Check below for better clarity!

NTA VS CBSE: Comparative Analysis

Comparing NTA and CBSE is not necessarily an essential part of this convo, as both organisations are pro in their own paths. CBSE is the leading education board that takes care of all the essential needs of students from early school to the final stage of high school, including books, curriculum, timetables, exams, and more. NTA, on the other hand, only deals with competitive exams, especially post-12th entrance exams. NTA isn’t involved with academic-related issues like books, syllabi, and more.

The NTA primarily designs the timelines, sets exam papers, decides on exam centres, and more as a responsible entrance exam conducting body. Besides, we cannot say that the CBSE doesn’t have any experience as a conducting body, as the organisation conducts board exams every year. However, the CBSE hasn’t conducted any competitive exams so far, and that’s the main reason why everyone is wondering about the credibility of CBSE as a potential conducting body for the most difficult entrance exams like NEET.

Will CBSE Conduct NEET 2025 or 2026?

CBSE conducting NEET is one of the many baseless rumours we see on the internet these days. Neither CBSE nor NTA hints about the possibilities so far. However, the NTSC-oriented CBSE is one of the perfect choices for replacing NTA as a conducting body, as the organisation is already well-versed with all the key aspects of the NEET syllabus. Lack of experience with competitive exams may result in scheduling conflicts, pattern errors, or sometimes question paper errors for CBSE. After all, we don’t know what’s the future preserving for us, but till then, we can say the CBSE is not conducting NEET 2025 or NEET 2026.

At last, conducting the only medical entrance exam in India is a hectic task for any organisation. However, the final decision regarding the conducting body is not a simple one. Hence, the Indian Education Board takes time to announce the finalised conducting body after proper research.

All we have to say is the confirmation about when CBSE will conduct NEET is still a rumour, and nobody has the perfect answer about the possibilities. Remember, if you found the NEET details in the NTA exam calendar 2025, which will be released in mid-November, then CBSE will not conduct the exam next year. Besides, the education boards don’t disclose any details about future exams until the current session ends. So, all we have to do is wait until the NEET 2024 counselling and seat allocation ends; then, we might get important updates about the future possibilities. Till then, keep up with your study table and prepare well for your NEET final exam.
